Lilli Carré is a wonderful cartoonist and film maker based in Chicago. I had the opportunity to pick up one of her hand-made booklets this year at CAKE. It’a beautiful 10-page story that almost reads like a children’s book, with the constant refrain on each page of “Why not?” The printing process is very interesting too, made with paper cut-outs on a Vandercook letterpress and a photocopier. She also had an amazing flip-book for sale at CAKE that I’m now kicking myself for not picking up.
